My Star Reading Test Result.

Here are the results of my Star Reading test . This week I scored 25/50 . My score means I did  average for my age. My goal is to at least get 10 more than my score that I got this year and maybe you guys can help me by commenting.  The thing that I have to work on is vocabulary.

Explanation Writing T4

This is my explanation writing for term 4. Or prompt was:m Write to describe one environmental problem and explain what people can do to reduce it's impact on the planet. I did not finish it. But in the coments, you could give me some ideas on how to improve my explanations. Here it is:

How to deal with pollution If you don’t no what pollution is it is when plastic gets into our waters. Pollution is really bad for the environmentle because it kills all of our fish that we eat so soon we will have no fish in the sea and that would be really bad for the environment. I am her to help you find some solutions for pollution  I have three solutions. The first solution that i have today is to stop using plastic bags you can use the cotton bags. The cotton bags are only one or two dollars. Having a cotton bags is good to have because it is reusable and you will not have to buy another bag. The second solution  that I have for you today is to stop throwing all of your rudish into the sea because that is what: is causing the pollution. The last but not least solution that I have for you today is

Greats & Grands Day

We have been super busy writing explanations & poems for the Greats & Grands Day.  I have written an explanation about sore back and how grandparents can cope.

Beginning	Title Copy your explanation title here.	How Grandparents Cope with a Sore Back
	1st paragraph Define and describe what you are explaining.	A grandparent is a person who is old enough for their baby to have a baby. When people start to get old different parts of their bodies start to get worn out and they can no longer do what they could do before. This is called aging and it causes many problems. One aging problem that a grandparent may have to deal with is a sore back.

Middle	2nd paragraph Write about one thing you can do to cope with a sore back	One thing that a grandparent can do to cope with a sore back is to stretch when you get in to bed and out of bed. This will get their muscles warmed up.
	3rd paragraph Write about a second thing you can do to cope with having a sore back	A second thing they can do is to go and get a massage. I have not had a massage before, but my mum has and before she got her massage her back was really sore. After she had her massage she felt really good so a massage might work for a grandparent with a sore back.
	4th paragraph Write about a third thing you can do to cope with a sore back	A third thing that a grandparent could do is to take a special sort of medicine and maybe get a special cream for their back.
End	5th paragraph Wind up your writing.	I think that any grandparent could try one of the things that I have suggested because I think that one of these might be helpful.

This Term we have been skiing on the ski trip. After we got back we made a Ski trip diary, I had some time off school after that ski trip, when I came back I copied my friend's diary and made it my own with pictures of me in! So here is my work.

Once upon a time there was a family called White. The dad’s name was Jack, the mum's name was Britney and the daughter’s  name was Sidney One winter’s night it was very cold and they were roasting marshmallows in the fireplace. Then they ran out of marshmallows so they went to the store and got more marshmallows plus Graham crackers and chocolate so they could make Smores. On their way home from the shop they saw a toy-sized truck so they got out of their car picked it up and put it in their  car. In the morning they took the toy truck to the police station and a policeman said, “Great! I just had a phone call from a lady with a very upset little son who has lost his favourite toy truck. You will make a little boy very happy today!” THE END
